Abstract
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Psychiatry Part II Examination (the “oral boards”) is among the most challenging examinations in all of medicine. The pass rate for the oral boards has hovered around 55% to 60% for years and remains lower than in other medical specialties. This article is a primer on how to pass the oral bards. It is based on the author's experience of personally training more than 400 psychiatry oral board candidates each year.
