Abstract
The diagnosis of eating disorders is in general not difficult, although some people may try to hide or disguise their disorder. The classification is flawed, with many people having disorders that fall into the ‘eating disorder not otherwise specified’ category. Assessment should always involve engagement and may be the beginning of change.
