Abstract
The treatment of anorexia nervosa in adults is discussed in this article with reference to the evidence base and with particular reference to matching management to patients’ needs, according to levels of both motivation and risk. A new skills-based intervention for carers and a new adaptation of cognitive remediation therapy for anorexia nervosa are highlighted.
