Abstract
The pharmacological treatment of mood disorders remains focused around the use of monoamine potentiating agents for the management of depression. There are, however, a growing number of agents available for management of bipolar disorder, with both anticonvulsants and atypical antipsychotic drugs showing promise in the management of bipolar depression.
