Abstract
The effects of parental mental illness on their children is now well documented. Children are commonly left without explanation or discussion of the parents illness, whilst there is evidence that this can mitigate against the harmful effects. The value of ‘young carers’ groups and the ‘Kidstime’ project are reported.
