Abstract
Therapeutic education (TE) of the patient is now of common daily practice in respiratory medicine and pulmonary rehabilitation. TE has been recognized in the « Hôpital, patients, santé et territoire » (HPST) law adopted in 2009 and has been defined as a priority area by the recent Health national strategy in 2013. Since TE is of relatively recent practice in France, several domains should be evaluated : the quality of the training program, the homogenization of skills and the limitation of TE deployment in France.
