Abstract
Lower legs fatigue is the most important limiting factor during exercise. Therefore, peripheral muscles reeducation has an important role when rehabilitating COPD patients. A peripheral muscle improvement is possible by a specific training. A previous muscular evaluation is required in order to individualize the therapeutic interventions and to improve long-term adherence. The methodology should be standardized and each tool should be evaluated. Training methods should vary and performed continuously or as by interval trainings against load, with or without muscular electrostimulation.
