Abstract
In case of unilateral pleurisy, thoracoscopy done under local or general anesthesia is the cornerstone for the diagnosis with a diagnostic yield of more than 90%. This procedure allows also a careful examination of the pleural cavity, therapeutic procedure as talc poudrage for instance and a prognosis approach of the disease. When a medical approach failed, surgical thoracoscopy is an alternative.
