Abstract
Coordination centers of oncology « 3C » were created in 2003 following a gouverning decision. They are the key centers of the national structure of cancer care in France: prevention, screening, creation of a French National Cancer Institute, regional networks, authorization of activities for public or private hospitals, and for medical doctors⦠« 3C » missions are implementation of all the measures of the two successive Cancer plans: poly-disciplinary staff reviewing all cancer's case, cancers' announcement improving, personalized course of care, supportive care, “after cancer” life support, promotion of cancer research and inclusions in clinical trials, setting up reviews of morbidity and mortality in each oncology unit ; activity reports and realization of internal quality audits are the other missions of these centers. The “3C” are become « quality » structures ensuring that all cancer patients are cared for, in optimal conditions and benefit from all the help they might need.
