Abstract
Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) is a rare tumor belonging to Primary Salivary Glandtype Lung Cancer. These tumors develop from cells of mucus glands present on the walls of the bronchi. Initial symptoms are secondary to irritation or bronchial obstruction. MEC are usually proximal, diagnosis is made by bronchoscopy. The pathological examination confirmed diagnosis and evaluate the histological grade, prognostic factor for MEC. The therapeutic treatment is based on surgical resection. Place of conventional chemotherapy, radiotherapy and target therapies remains to be defined.
