Abstract
It is well known that air pollution can exacerbate asthma. However, the role it plays in the incidence of asthma cases is more difficult to demonstrate. One must be able to measure this pollution and describe its effects on respiratory health. Longitudinal observational studies on the neonatal cohort in the general population contribute data on a connection between the two.
