Abstract
All subjects are not created equal in terms of the impact of the environment on respiratory health. The recent advances in the genetics of asthma plead for individual susceptibility modulating the effect of air pollution on asthma. Although these studies on geneenvironment interactions are interesting, notably over the longer term in genomic medicine, today the data remain limited and further studies are necessary.
