Abstract
The European Respiratory Society congress was the opportunity to review the management of malignant pleural mesothelioma, using the guidelines from the 2008 European Respiratory Society (ERS) and European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS). In addition, the potential role of anti-inflammatory drugs in the prevention of lung cancer in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease allowed to specify the links between these two pathologies.
