Abstract
PurposeTo describe imaging features in giant phyllodes tumors (GPTs) with radiology–pathologic correlations.Materials and MethodsSurgically confirmed 14 GPTs of the breast were retrospectively reviewed with ultrasound, mammograms, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and positron emission tomography.ResultsThe most GPTs showed circumscribed and lobulated masses with cystic necrosis. Five cases of core needle biopsy results were benign other than GPTs.ConclusionRadiology–pathologic correlation in GPTs is essential, due to differences of pathologic results (5/14 in our study) between core biopsy and surgical pathology.
