Abstract
A case of adenomyoma protruding into the cervix is reported. The patient was a 53-year-old woman with persistent genital bleeding. The mass protruded into the cervix showed isointensity to the myometrium on T1-weighted images, hyperintensity on T2-weighted images, and gradual and inhomogeneous enhancement on dynamic contrast study. The relative large hemorrhagic cavities within the mass showed hyperintensity and fluid–fluid level on both T1-weighted and T2-weighted images. The pathological diagnosis was adenomyoma with edematous endometrial stroma.
