Abstract
We present not only the first CT scan images with three-dimensional reconstructions but also the MR imaging of a case of partial necrosis of an adrenal gland with no associated hemorrhage. This instance, which occurred in a young woman suffering from polycythemia vera with a sharp rise of platelets count, was probably caused by the formation of platelet microthrombi in two of the three adrenal arteries.
