Abstract
Hepatic artery aneurysms are uncommon vascular lesions, and their diagnosis is often difficult prior to rupture due to nonspecific clinical presentation. We report a case of a giant aneurysm of the common hepatic artery extending to the right hepatic artery and causing obstructive jaundice through compression of the biliary tract. The presence of the lesion was suggested by color Doppler ultrasonography, and the diagnosis was confirmed with the use of three-dimensional spiral computed tomographic angiography (3D-CTA), magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) and digital subtractive angiography (DSA). The surgical excision of the aneurysm that followed was subsequently evaluated with a post-operative abdominal CT scan.
