Abstract
The ACR Diagnostic Radiology In-Training Examination is administered yearly to radiology residents nationwide. It is primarily an educational tool for the assessment of radiologists-in-training and for the programs in which they reside. Over the past 5 years, the examination has undergone several changes, and more are anticipated in the near future. This review article discusses the recent changes to the examination, outlines the examination development process, gives statistics and data from the most recent test administrations, and anticipates issues for future examinations.
