Abstract
SummaryTophaceous gout of the spine is rare. We report here the case of a 68-year-old man with long-standing peripheral gouty arthritis who developed a progressive and painful weakness of the lower extremities. Radiological and histopathological findings confirmed the presence of tophaceous gout of the spine. Also presented is the case history, including the radiological and histopathological findings, and a discussion of the literature.
