Abstract
We report the case of a two-year-old girl with a lipoblastoma arising from the chest wall with intrathoracic extensión and costal involvement. The diagnosis was confirmed histologically after surgery. Plain-film chest x-rays showed an extrapleural mass; computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suggested fatty contents. The differential diagnosis is mainly versus liposarcoma, which is extremely rare in children.
