Abstract
Laparoscopic gastrectomy in the treatment of gastric cancer is technically feasible and is an alternative to open surgery in terms of postoperative morbidity and mortality and oncological effectiveness when performed by teams with experience in laparoscopy and with appropriate patient selection.
