Abstract
Hypogonadismâassociated CV risk depends on the characteristics of subjects, being more evident in normal weight than in obese patients. Further studies are advisable to clarify if low T in obese patients is a (positive) consequence of a comorbid condition (i.e., to save energy) or if it represents a pathogenetic issue of the same illness. Hence, possible misuse/abuse of T treatment in obese subjects must be avoided. Corona G, Rastrelli G, Monami M, Melani C, Balzi D, Sforza A, Forti G, Mannucci E, and Maggi M. Body mass index regulates hypogonadismâassociated CV risk: Results from a cohort of subjects with erectile dysfunction. J Sex Med 2011;8:2098-2105.
