Abstract
According to the author, transumbilical breast augmentation (TUBA) facilitates placement of large implants while eliminating concerns about wound dehiscence and scars. After performing 1170 TUBA procedures, his reported complication rates are low. However, he cautions surgeons about the steep learning curve necessary to master this technique.
