Abstract
												Endoscopic total thyroidectomy aided by gas insufflation is technically feasible. The harmonic scalpel aids greatly in dissection and hemostasis. It is a valid option in the surgical management of thyroid disease but careful pre-operative selection of patients is mandatory.
