A series of CuO-ZnO/TiO2 ternary catalysts was prepared by co-precipitation and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), N2 physisorption at 77 K, temperature-programmed reduction/oxidation (H2-TPR/TPO) and FT-IR measurements of low temperature adsorbed CO. The catalysts were tested and found active in the preferential oxidation of CO (CO-PROX) in hydrogen-rich gas streams and their catalytic performance was compared with that of the binary systems CuO/ZnO and CuO/TiO2.
