Abstract
⺠SHR shifted to the right the function relating adjunctive drinking to inter-food interval length. ⺠Adjunctive drinking was lower for WKY than SHR and Wistar rats at any inter-food interval value. ⺠Licking was more persistent in SHR than in the other rats at long inter-food intervals. ⺠SHR rats showed a steeper delay-discounting function in comparison to Wistar rats. ⺠Schedule-induced polydipsia levels relate more to indexes of cognitive than motor impulsivity.
