Abstract
► Quinpirole can induce 50 kHz vocalizations after its intra-accumbens application. ► Quinpirole-induced vocalizations do not differ from species-specific 50 kHz calls. ► The dose-response study showed a triphasic effect of quinpirole on 50 kHz calls. ► Quinpirole reached two peak vocal responses at the doses of 0.25 μg and 6 μg. ► Both D2 and D3 dopamine receptors are involved in the quinpirole response.
