Abstract
⺠Determine effect of mPFC inactivation on unconditioned defense behavior. ⺠Prelimbic, but not infralimbic, inactivation enhances unconditioned freezing. ⺠Neither prelimbic nor infralimbic inactivation alters open space avoidance. ⺠Prelimbic cortex can have inhibitory role with regard to unconditioned freezing.
