Abstract
⺠CAR is expressed in porcine brain capillary endothelial cells (PBCEC). ⺠After CITCO stimulation of PBCEC CAR is located inside the nucleus. ⺠CITCO stimulation induces Abcb1 and Abcg2 upregulation of RNA and protein expression. ⺠Both ABC-transporters show increased transport activity after CITCO stimulation. ⺠CAR ligand TCPOBOP had no effect on transporter expression.
