Abstract
⺠We examined neural activity due to attribution of perceptual fluency in recognition. ⺠We manipulated fluency attribution by varying the sensory modality of the study list. ⺠Repetition priming decreased positive recognition responses after auditory study. ⺠Priming also led to late, frontal positive ERPs following auditory study. ⺠Late frontal positivity might reflect discounting of fluency during recognition.
