Abstract
⺠The neuroprotective effect of ibudilast on ischemic stroke remains undetermined. ⺠Ibudilast suppressed cerebral infarction, edema, atrophy and apoptosis. ⺠It also significantly reduced mortality and improved neurological outcomes. ⺠It arrested the expression of inflammatory mediator molecules in ischemic brain. ⺠Ibudilast can exert beneficial effects on acute ischemic stroke.
