Abstract
⺠Endogenous β-endorphin level in the central nervous system is decreased in opioid addiction. ⺠An adenovirus-mediated β-EP gene increases endogenous β-EP level. ⺠Ad-NEP could be a novel method for gene therapy of acute morphine withdrawal syndrome.
