Abstract
⺠We model an aerobic program along the entire life in rats. ⺠We study changes in the nitrergic system in cortex, hippocampus and striatum. ⺠We examine behavioral parameters in aged rats. ⺠Chronic exercise causes the upregulation of nitrergic system in cortex and striatum. ⺠Nitric oxide is involved in the benefit of exercise on learning, memory and anxiety.
