Abstract
►Audiogenic seizure (AGS) kindling increases seizure severity of GEPR-9s. ►Periaqueductal gray (PAG) neurons are critical in the GEPR-9s seizure network. ►AGS kindling significantly increased PAG neuron acoustic responsiveness of GEPR-9s. ►AGS kindling induces burst firing in PAG neurons during AGS not seen before kindling. ►Amygdala burst firing critically implicates amydala pathway to PAG in AGS kindling.
