Abstract
âºThe HTR1B polymorphism A161T was found to be associated with and alcohol dependence (AD). âºThe A161T variant was also significantly associated with age of onset of alcoholism (p = 0.001). âºHaplotypes with two SNPs A161T and G861C were strongly associated with AD (p = 0.002). âºReplication studies are required to rule out the possibility of a false-positive finding.
