Abstract
⺠Ventricular injection of EGF induced CREB and ERK phosphorylation in the SEZ. ⺠Only type B cells and transit-amplifying progenitor cells were responding. ⺠These cell types were identified both at the striatal and septal ventricle wall. ⺠Prolonged EGF infusion induced CREB/ERK activation in proliferating nestin+ cells. ⺠The ependyma revealed intense CREB phosphorylation and partial de-differentiation.
