Abstract
âºForebrain ischemia induced the neuronal apoptosis. âºCaspase-3 and Bcl-2 mRNA were increased at 24 h after forebrain ischemia. âºForebrain ischemia induced the increase of caspase-3 and Bcl-2 protein expression. âºApoptotic neurons were decreased after propofol treatment. âºCaspase-3 mRNA and protein expression were inhibited after propofol treatment. âºBcl-2 mRNA and protein expression were increased after propofol treatment.
