Abstract
⺠75% of identified human disease-associated genes are present in Drosophila. ⺠Angelman, Rett, Neurofibromatosis and Fragile X syndromes have been modeled. ⺠Genetics, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology and behavior have been examined. ⺠Drosophila has advanced understanding of UBE3A, MECP2, NF1 and FMR1 biology.
