Abstract
⺠There is a lack of objective parameters of VNS in animal models for epilepsy. ⺠We developed a cuff electrode for combined stimulation and recording. ⺠VNS induces a Laryngeal muscle action potential (LCAMP). ⺠LCAMP is an objective electrophysiological parameter for vagus nerve activation. ⺠LCAMP could be of particular value in future VNS experiments.
