Abstract
⺠Long-term treatment with Ginkgo biloba extract improves fear memory. ⺠This effect is related to an increase of CREB-1 and GFAP expression in the DH and AC. ⺠Present results suggest a role of the DH in the acquisition of lick suppression. ⺠The amygdala may have a role in the effects of EGb on the expression of conditioned fear. ⺠This effect is correlated with changes in the GAP-43 and CREB-1 expression.
