Abstract
► Spinocerebellar tract neurons are inhibited by various sources of input. ► Morphological substrates of inhibition were investigated. ► Quantitative analysis revealed differences in inhibitory input to neuronal subtypes. ► This is likely to reflect differences in inhibitory information conveyed to the cerebellum. ► The cerebellum is thus able to gauge the level of inhibition of motor networks.
