Abstract
⺠MPTP is widely used as a model for Parkinson's disease. ⺠EGb761 is a well-defined mixture of active compounds extracted from Ginkgo biloba. ⺠EGb761 regulates dopamine-related genes altered by MPTP neurotoxicity. ⺠Tyrosine hydroxylase- and Nurr1- mRNA were regulated by EGb761. ⺠Neuroprotection of EGb761 in MPTP involves regulation of dopamine-related genes.
