Abstract
⺠Deletion of profilin1 in the brain leads to Purkinje cell loss. ⺠Purkinje cell loss begins around P15 and progresses into adulthood. ⺠PC-specific inactivation of profilin1 does not affect Purkinje cell survival. ⺠Purkinje cells complexity is largely preserved in Nes-Cre:Pfn1flx/flx mice. ⺠Profilin1 is not critical for parallel fiber-Purkinje cell synapse function.
