Abstract
⺠Adenosine (ADO) was tested on locomotor activities in newborn rat spinal cord. ⺠ADO blocked bicuculline/strychnine-evoked 'disinhibited' rhythm. ⺠ADO depressed pulse train-evoked bouts of alternating fictive locomotion. ⺠ADO did not depress but rather stabilize chemically evoked fictive locomotion. ⺠A1 antagonist DPCPX reversed ADO effects with no effect on control responses.
