Abstract
â¶The ectophosphatase TNAP is localized in the neuropil of the cerebral cortex. â¶In the human TNAP activity is expressed in layer 5 of the association cortex. â¶TNAP could regulate synaptic transmission of diverse transmitter systems. â¶TNAP is probably involved in epilepsy, Alzheimer- and prion diseases.
