Abstract
â¶We examine neuronal Ca2+ current loss that follows painful peripheral nerve injury. â¶Ca2+ current in DRG neurons decreases for both L- and N-channel subtypes. â¶This effect is evident during both square and AP waveform depolarizations. â¶The activation curve shifts right for N-type current after injury. â¶Injury does not affect N-type channel number or unitary current.
