Abstract
â¶Environmental enrichment housing during forced abstinence reduces cue-elicited cocaine-seeking behavior relative to both isolated and social-housed controls. â¶Environmental enrichment attenuates cue-elicited Fos protein expression throughout mesocorticolimbic and nigrostriatal circuitry. â¶Social housing alone reduces cue-elicited cocaine-seeking behavior relative to isolated controls. â¶Social housing alone attenuates cue-elicited Fos protein expression within nigrostriatal circuitry.
