Abstract
⺠We asked whether the suspension time of dissociated neurons affects their viability. ⺠We examined the extent of apoptosis versus necrosis of neurons in suspension. ⺠While apoptosis was marginal, dissociated neurons underwent necrosis. ⺠Prevention against necrosis may be required for better survival of neurons in suspension.
