Abstract
⺠CGS21680 alone or with a PDE inhibitor IBMX supported the survival of motoneurons. ⺠The activity was inhibited by PKA inihibitor H89 and Trk kinase inhibitor K252a. ⺠This indicates the mixed effect of PKA pathway and transactivation of Trk receptor. ⺠Even in the presence of BDNF, AMPA shows excitotoxicity. ⺠Treatment with CGS21680 and IBMX protected motoneurons from AMPA toxicity.
