Abstract
⺠Oxidative stress has been implicated in ageing and disease-related damage of enteric neurons. ⺠Neurotrophic factors have been reported to have protective effects against oxidative stress. ⺠We assessed protective effects of NT-3 and GDNF in dissociated cultures of enteric ganglia. ⺠NT-3, but not GDNF protected against hydrogen peroxide-induced toxicity on enteric neurons.
